Klara Doshlov is a figure skater, writer & tango dancer based in Belgrade & New York.

  • Klara Doshlov is a figure skater, writer, and tango dancer who splits her time between New York City and Belgrade, Serbia. With over 15 years of competitive training and 10 years of coaching experience, Klara represented Serbia in international figure skating competitions, achieving multiple national championships and being selected to represent Serbia in the European Youth Olympic Festival in Gdańsk, Poland in 2009. Despite retiring from competitive skating due to ACL injuries, she continues to perform on the ice and dance in her free time.

    Klara has studied and lived in the U.S., U.A.E., U.K., and Serbia. She graduated with a BA Cum Laude from the City College of New York in 2015 with a degree in Theatre Arts and Cinema Studies. In the film industry, she has worked as an assistant director on projects such as The Union (2022) and Fair Play (2022).

    In 2023, Klara founded The Ice Movement Foundation, a non-profit organization advocating for ice sports, based in Belgrade, Serbia. With a full commitment to reviving ice sports in Serbia, the foundation aims to infuse the wider national and international communities, including athletes, coaches, and the people of Serbia, with love, respect, and dedication to ice sports. They support a range of disciplines including ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, and curling. As a coach, Klara has worked in New York and Belgrade, currently coaching at Figure Skating Club Butterfly in Belgrade. Klara is proficient in multiple languages, including English, Serbian (Serbo-Croatian), and French, and has strong technical skills. Additionally, she has a background in dance, with training in classical, modern, and jazz ballet, and Argentine Tango. Klara has been instrumental in promoting and developing the sport through various workshops, programs, and fundraising events.

Her focus lies on psychological analysis over action, with a preference for drama and indie genres. She's been featured on the cover of The Vision Magazine, promoting writers globally, and her short film "Ahoi" (2019), co-written with Filip Grujic and Robert Galinowski, has garnered multiple awards. Additionally, she freelances as an editor and content writer while currently working on a collection of essays for publication
